Mary Cunningham Kohn, M.D.
Dr. Kohn is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In previous positions Dr. Kohn has worked with the medically underserved, was a staff pediatrician at the Gallup Indian Health Service Hospital, taught and supervised interns and residents, and was the Pediatrician and Clinic Manager of a federally funded rural health clinic. Dr. Kohn is currently the Director, Level I Nursery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She is also Senior Instructor, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado. Dr. Kohn is a volunteer tutor with The Colorado “I Have A Dream” Foundation, acts as a consultant to the Denver Zoo veterinarians and is a lecturer at Place Bridge Academy, a primary school for new immigrants.
Linda Ehret, MSN, RN, NNP-BC
Linda has been an NNP in the Denver area for over ten years, and has over twenty years of NICU experience. A graduate of Duke University NNP program, Linda currently provides NNP services at both Sky Ridge Medical Center and Memorial Health Systems.
Craig A. Adams
Craig Adams is a partner at Dickinson, Prud´Homme, Adams & Ingram, LLP, and practices in the area of medical malpractice defense and general insurance defense. Mr. Adams received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Denver in 1983. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver in 1987. Mr. Adams was the recipient of the Outstanding Legal Writing Award in 1984. He is a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and the American, Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. Mr. Adams has presented a variety of instructional seminars to professional and hospital associations. His practice areas include: Professional Malpractice, including Hospital, Nursing and Medical Professionals, Insurance Defense, including Premises Liability and Product Liability.
Connie Blackburn Furrh
Connie Furrh has been a registered nurse for forty-two years with twenty-three of those in the obstetrical/women’s health field. She developed the first perinatal bereavement program in the state of Oklahoma, the first women centered labor and delivery unit and the first women center exclusive of walls concept of women’s healthcare. Connie has been a contributor to For Healthcare Professionals: Guidelines on Prevention of and Response to Infant Abduction, editions 1991-2009. Connie is currently the Vice President, Risk Management, a role she has served in with more than one organization since 1998.
Mary Ellen Honeyfield, MS, RN, NNP-BC
Mary Ellen has held the position of affiliate faculty at Regis University, Denver, Colorado, since August, 2003, where she is co-director of the Masters Program, NNP option. She is President and CEO of NNP Services of Colorado and Mary Ellen is also a practicing NNP at Childrens Hospital Colorado, Aurora, Colorado. She holds staff appointments in the Denver metro area and in Topeka and Kansas City, Kansas. Mary Ellen is a contributing reviewer on several neonatal texts and has published numerous research articles. Currently she is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program at Regis University.
